Where can I find this seal

It is where the cv shaft goes into the spindle. I have checked all of the parts stores and a few Toyota dealers. My cousin has had this truck for a few months and we just noticed it Friday.

cant find it at a parts store? CV BOOT?

might wanna just replace the whole CV axle. They're like $70 and most parts stores give you liftetime replacement warranty.

Not the boot, the shafts were replaced a few months befor the truck was bought. There is a seal at the end that is mounted to the spindle.

I believe you are referring to the dust deflector. I don't know where to get them, but the Service Manual calls them out as non-reusable. Are you sure you asked the Dealer for the right part?

All I got to say are the dust deflectors area %^&*% to install, if you havn't already removed it, dont. Maybe you and everyone else on here has had better luck than me though.

Sorry to bring this from the grave! But I blew up my cv axle on the trail and I was tearing into it to replace it and this "Dust Deflector" is trashed. None of my local parts stores can find it anywhere. Does anyone have a part number for it? Or know where I can order one?

Thanks

Your local Toyota dealer can get it for you.

Read this Yotatech thread. Apparently, the part number for the seal has changed. You'll need to read the whole thread; I'm not able to just summarize it.

Thanks
