Whats is worth?? 82 Short Bed

I looked at a first gen the other day.. Its an 82 short bed. No Rust in the bed the frame or the floors... Hasn't run in amost a year... Ran when parked but the carb was flooding the engine with gas... Oil smells like gas and is dark.... the front birfilds look to be "leaking" .. it has 260k on the clock.. havent heard it run yet... old school solid cragars. . . 2 bad tires ... ugly dash.. dented pass door .... The rest of the sheetmetal is pretty straight... no evidence of accidents... has a brush gaurd on the front... rear tube bumper...
... I'll have the guy change the oil and get a battery to start it before I commit to buy...

What else should I look for???

Basically its a straight complete start with a possible running drivetrain... I'm basically looking for a streetable weekend toy...
... never wheeled before so nothing hard core (I know this is how it all starts )

depending on a few things...what kind of condition the motor is in...is it modded at all...take some pics and post up...i paid $1500 for my '80 shortbed 4x4....it runs fine...but it was rolled onto the driver side by the previous owner...(and almost rolled again by me)..and its alllll stock except for the tires...thats the reason it was $1500...without the tires..it would have been $1000 or less...but i just couldnt live without them...lol...but i should have left the tires there...and then i could've gotten some 33x13.50's... ...o well..im about to get a 3in. lift...then when these tires get worn...i'll get the 33's...so im thinking...just by what you told us...umm...probably around $800 to $1000...

A lot of it comes down to what part of the country you are in that will dictate prices. East coast it sounds like they are getting harder to find.
PNW it would probably be a $600-1000 truck. The miles are about right for that old of truck.

Get it running and depending on condition of other parts you have found a good base to start with

I have one too, http://stgeorge.craigslist.org/car/709377627.html

No rust, except surface rust in back of cab, and a little in the bed.
