Awsome 1st Gen 4Runner for Sale - 1987 SR5 22RE factory Black
SOLD, SOLD, SOLD!!!!!! Thanks
Hi,
I'm selling my 1987 4Runner. I have 2 landcruisers and my 4Runner and I need to raise some funds for my 2 landcruisers.
My 4Runner is a 1987 22RE SR5 with original Black paint, and grey interior with original SR5 bucket seats in excellent condition.
It also has power windows, power mirrors, power door locks, flip-up sunroof, cruise control, and AC (AND ALL OF THESE OPTIONS WORK PERFECTLY).
The A/C blows very cold, and I had it recharged last year with Original R-12 Freon.
I have done many, many upgrades to it in the past 5 years to include:
--LC Engineering Headers (50 State Legal) 200K
--LC Engineering CAT back exhaust system 200K
--LC Enginering High flow Catylitic converter (50 State Legal) 200K
--New Timing Chain 187K
--New Timing Gears, Guide and tensioner 187K
--New Factory Clutch kit (Clutch, Flywheel, clutch plate, tensioner, etc...) 170K
--New factory Radiator and all new hoses 190K
--New factory Water Pump and hoses 195K
--Flowmaster 50 series Delta Flow muffler 200K
--New Factory Clutch master and slave Cylinder 200K
--New Ceramic Brake Pads front and rear less than 5000 miles ago
--5 American Eagle wheels with oversize tires (Spare wheel and tire matches the 4 on the truck)
--Panasonic CD player plus 110amp Kenwood amplifier and 4 upgraded Boston Acoustic Speakers.
--Replaced all rails, plastic moldings, guides and seals for the back window 202K.
--New Nardi sport steering wheel 185K (original Toyota Steering Wheel will come with the car).
--Rancho Series 5000 shocks 175K
--Optima Battery--RED TOP (1 year old) has 3 year full replacement transferrable warranty.
--Red line shockproof gear oil in Rear and front axle (last year)
--Red line MTL in manual trans, and transfer case (last year)
All the maintenance has always been kept up to date with mostly factory toyota parts.
Did complete tune-up 4 months ago to include NGK plugs, BG radiator flush, etc...
This truck will come with many, many extra parts to include almost 2 cases of genuine toyota oil filters 90915-YZZB9 (the good made in japan filters that you can't find anymore anywhere). Also several K&N oil fitlers, and AC Delco Utragold oil filters (these are the oil filter which GM makes mostly for Corvette and Hummers, with synthetic filter media).
Extra new Genuine Toyota Air Filter.
Extra MAF Sensor.
Brand new extra LC engineering Catylitic convereter, and extra new LC engineering high flow muffler.
Grant GT Steering wheel along with Grant Steering Wheel adapter for 1987 Toyota 4Runner.
Many, many other extra parts, switches, factory screws, nuts, bolts, sensors, switches, etc...
It will also come with an original Toyota Factory Repair manual for the 1987 4Runner and Truck Gasoline Engines (Publication number RM046U), and 2 other chilton repair manuals.
I have over 100 pages of services records covering almost the entire life span of the truck.
The Truck has 213K, and the engine and transmission run like they are new! It just passed VA safety and emissions
Has one small area of rust by the gas tank door. other than that it's rust free and has a very solid body, frame and and interior looks very good.
I also installed 100% natural Austrailian sheepskin seat covers on the front seats last year.
I ordered the seat covers custom-made from Blue Ribbon motoring. These are incredibly comfortable (cool in the summer and warm in the winter).
The front seats underneath are in great condition (no rips, tears, marks or stains).
I have more than 10K invested in this truck and can prove it all by paperwork, I'm asking $3000 or best offer. I am a motivated seller and looking to sell this nice 4Runner soon, any reasonable offer will be entertained. If you are interested in the truck email me and we can work something out.
email me for additional photos or if you have any other questions.
my email is:
Hessam@aol.com
By the way it just passed both VA safety and emissions inspections last month with flying colors.
thanks,
H

I see you did alot of work in the last 5 years, but how long (years and miles) have you owned this? Any rust under the fender flares? Accident history? I'm about 30 mins from you in MD and I'm considering buying another 1st gen.

I edited the post and put the miles next to all the upgrades. I have owned this 4Runner for 6 years now. Most of the major work (Headers, water pump, CAT Back exhuast, etc..) I did between 2003 and 2004.
The car has never been in any accidents and has completely clean carfax report (shows 2 owners including me, as I bought from original owner who was an F-16 mechanic in the airforce and took meticoulus care of this truck).
Also there is not any rust under the fender flares.
email me if you are interested and I can send you some additional pictures.
There is also a lot of Extras with this car. The original oil filters alone cost over 200 dollars, not to mention the extra new LCE engineering Catylitic converter and LCE engineering muffler, plus the new Toyota Factory repair manual etc...etc.....
Let me know if you have any other questions... thanks for your interest

Still have? Im very interested. Im in Newport News VA. Are you willing to met half way to show it or maybe even a quarter. I will have cash in hand if I think its worth it. Its says that you have a lift but the pics but really dont show it. Is it suspenion or body? The only thing that bothers me is the fender flares and how bad they rust in those areas.
