I think it would be cool to have a get together with our 4Runners. Anyone given it any thought? Imagine every year Runner together in one location for a huge BBQ! I make a motion that we all meet in Colorado. That way all the west coasters can make it and it wouldn't be too much of a trip for the other parts of the country to make the trip either. We could all meet in Denver, drive up to Loveland and then right up into Rocky Mountain National Park. Then head south in the mountains all the way back to the Denver area. I'll supply the beer!

I say AZ. Been dying to meet "Mr. Suspension" himself, Steve Schaeffer.

Somehow I really have a feeling he drives a lifted Yugo.

How about a 4-runner meet in Hawaii ?

Beleive it or not there's a lot of Toyota owner's out here! Stock, lifted, modified...... All walk's of life..... "At all of the Island chains- (Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Oahu, & Kauai)....

It's a long swim though! Some 5,000 miles!

How's that sound???????

Da' Lava Runnah'!

Waasup Mike. I've been busy every night doing that kustom upholstery in that Nova. It's almost 11:00...I actually have a few minutes on the 'puter tonight. I'm 90% DONE. My Runner has been parked outside my garage all week. I don't like that, but the Nova had to be in the garage to upholster the trunk. I'll post pics in the Off Topic side when I'm pau. A Runner meet would be way kool. We tried to start a club here, but it fizzled. I know there are tons of Runners here and throughout the islands. Everybody loves 'em. If you're interested in that Venom 400, let me know...going on Ebay if I can't sell it here. Just got an invite from the owner of our paint biz to attend the huge Vegas SEMA show...damn, I wish we could go...so broke. Aloha.

Um...that would be cool, but 4Runners can't swim! So that is kinda out of the question...lol...

The Keystone state is a good one to have it in! :fireman:

Hey anyone know of a good place in kansas. I know it sounds a lil weird but its right in the center of the u.s. and would probably be equal distance for all of us. either that or have a meet for east coast and west coast. That way we're not all traveling three days in the rigs to get there.

I say ya'll should do the drive up to the Great White North,,,,Say meet in Banff???
This is the time to see the parks, there's very little snow at the moment. Then do the run up to Jasper and down to Wiapours offroad area,,,It would be great,,,,,,,,Really!

All these meets sound good.
There are a few planned events as Eric suggested.

I however would not attempt to travel that far in my rig.
Don't get me wrong, I love my 4Runner, but I don't think it's the best rig to be taking a long trip in. Maybe a two state wide trip, but I would never want to drive it a long ways.
It's just not a good rig for cross country trips.

Very bad aerodynamics, and not great at going super freeway speeds like out on the big byways.

Some year, don't know when, I'm going to fly out for the CO4RJ they just had and ride shotgun, maybe even drive the Schaefer mobile if he will let me

Now if the rig handled better on the road like a 3rd gen, and had the power to pass better, I'd be tempted to drive it aways longer.
