me either until i saw one coming across the ferry from Cerros/Copper Bank. it was a 90-92 4Runner and i saw those manual wing like windows that are on my Ford! i was at first confused, then i thought about it and thought, i have never seen a 2nd gen 4Runner with Vent Windows so i figured that was their offical name and i couldn't find a pic online. so i am asking the best place on the web.

I think those were only available on trucks with manual windows. Probably somebody swapped doors at a junkyard or scavenged the whole window assembly.

I have seen one or two, pretty rare. When you have the vent window option it places your side mirrors in an akward position (my opinon of course).

then how come when ordering some thing for the door such as visors, new glass, or decals, they all ask with or with vent windows on the 4Runner? maybe your right Victor, maybe the guy swapped from a pick-up.

Even on James Dean Creation website it says with or without vent windows for 1990-1994 4Runners.

hmm...guess my runner has a "rare" feature...and I thought it was just another white 2nd gen without a roofrack and swingout tire rack...

and FYI I've got manual windows, locks, and a rear window in perfect working order...

(sorry for the small pic, I'm at work and my cell was all I had...)

Interesting. Yours is a first year 2nd gen so perhaps that was an option deleted from 4Runners at some point?

Possibly. Not sure, either way, I love having those vent windows, I can get great air flow in the summer, even better if I crack the rear window...

Having the rear doors with vent windows would have been an ideal option. Its already in the shape, and our dog would be sooo happy!

pretty sure you could use a set from a 3rd gen truck and convert.

I had them in my 81 Trekker and loved them. This thread has got me thinking of seeing if I can convert

I stumbled across this video the other week when looking up how to replace the broken vent window lock in my pickup.
Goes over doing the standard window to vent window conversion.
