value of 2000 sport w/ 60,000 miles
Hey Guys,
Im currently in the market for a 4runner. I found a 2000 sr5 sport auto 4wd with 60,000 miles on the clock. What do you think this truck is worth with such low miles. Unfortunately it is at a used car lot, so that might bump the price up a bit.
Thanks!

I dont know what miles mean to you but I just saw a 3rd gen with a e-locker black on tan leather for buy it now 11,600 on e-bay. Some people take comfort in miles. I would check dipstick, air filter, trans level, power steering as well as antifreeze. If coolant is clean and no corrosion in radiator, dipstick doesn't look like it was up a butt an to fill line, and air filter is clean the truck was prob taken care of. I mean I can name a few things that only take at most a 30 min inspection and when ur willing to shell out 15k. Are there spots on the ground underneath it and if so from where? Belts too are a good indicator if there 7 years old now and say Toyota on them, the truck hasn't been well taken care of.

A truck like that here in WA would go for 15k EASY! Probably a lot more due to miles and condition.
Factory belts does not necessarily mean it was neglected. If the owner kept good care of it, especially at the dealer, they may have been changed already with factory parts. Take for example my 86 4Runner. All the belts on it are factory and say Toyota on them. Does it mean they are from 1986? No, as I changed them out a year ago.

I didn't change my belts before it had 100K on it.
But 15K sounds high. I paid 16K 5 year ago for 99.
Try Edmunds.com (here is a TMV price on a loaded SR5 4wd with 60K miles):
Trade-In Private Party Dealer Retail
$9,428 $11,028 $12,832

15K would be awesome in the northwest, provided it is in excellent condition.
4runner prices are crazy here, used car dealers actually import them from other parts of the country to sell them at an inflated price here.

I bought a 2000 from ohio for $6000 that would easily go for $10k here, even in the condition it was in.

Thats nuts... around here I would laugh at that. I got my 98 for 7k (around 100k miles V6 Manual 4wd) and I see them go for that rate all the time... maybe up to 10k for a lower miles truck, but NEVER 15k. I would not ever pay that.

I don't know in what market you would ever get that kind of money... around here, you would be LUCKY to see 11k. I just found one on craigslist matching your description pretty exactly for 11k. Maybe you are in a different market though.
