OK? can you put seafoam into the engine OIL? Is that a good idea? What does it do?

Yes you can - directions/benefits are on the can ...

I typically put it in a couple hundred miles before an oil change.

ok, thanks man...but before? drain the old oil, leave the drain plug hole with no bolt. Then pour in sf till it runs through and drains in to oil pan with old oil? ..Or put new oil then after pour sf into engine with new oil till next change....

He said to put it in a few hundred miles before you plan to change the oil. I use it at work for "sludge" engines (2 years late for oil change). Claims to clean stuck lifters, and it seems to do that.

On those really late for oil change engines, I will change oil & add seafoam. Run it for a few hours and change it again. Add seafoam and give back to the abuser
