exhaust tips

got a question..depending on what kind of exhaust tip you have..does it effect the sound?

hmm.not sure how to put it..how about...the part that everyone can see at the back of your car. does the diameter, or shape its cut off at make a difference?

I seriously doubt it would have any sound change unless there was a muffler back there that was changed or removed and replaced with something with no/less baffels/chambers.

The angle of the cut is intended to keep the heat and residue off the bumper or 1/4 panel and so that the tail lights don't melt.

FYI: The Monza Pacesetter has dimples in it that cause a "whooshing" sound when you throttle it. Didn't like it.

Tips can make a sound difference. Go to your local rice shop and you'll be amazed.
I say go for the whistle tip!

reason i am asking is because i just picked up a polished black tip from my local auto parts store and just wondering if it will make it sound different from the one i have on there now...its a bit different of design..so..who knows....only one way to find out!
