im doing the same thing.
i got buckets.
im going to run 6 1/2" 's in the door and 4" ers in the dash, with tweeters in the dash in the space just above where the 4" ers go.then im gonna run a single 10" sub behind the seat(dont know driver or passenger yet).
outta sound good.i may even buy a seperate amp to power the highs.

i will recommend infinity, i have 4" refrences in the dash and when i can afford to i will be putting some in to replace the stock speakers behind the seats. since you say your removing the bench seat i take it you have a reg cab? if your going to be putting a sub in, put it in the middle or on the passenger side, your back vibrating gets old real fast. in my truck i have the amp behind the passenger side and the sub in the middle, both are screwed down so they dont move around and less likely to get stolen.

thats a good start i would get a nice used 10 or i like 12 inch sub and amp and then maybe another set of speakers but the one should do for now.... if you could afford a small amp or an amp that could do the sub and your 2 pioneers that would be nice.

like bigt said , it's a good start. check the local pawn shops and ebay for your subs and amp. you can always start with one sub and good amp and then expand into 2 subs. take your time and shop around. you may want to add a couple of speakers to help out the 4" speakers you have. you can mount 6 1/2's in the doors or when you make or have your sub box made put some 6x9's in it. check out other installs in trucks like yours at places like cardomain.com . this will help you with ideas and let you see what other people have done in their trucks.

I have a similar set up in my truck: 4'' speakers with a 10'' sub and a cheapo amp. Sounds real good for what it is. I think 2 subs in a truck is bit much, But I like my hearing.

I have 5.25's in the doors (mounted on custom pods), 1" tweeters mounted in the factory 4" dash openings, a 10" JBL in a small enclosure on the pass. side, a 2-way crossover into a Sony 200 watt (for the sub), and a Jenson 100 watt (for mids and highs). I use the same basic setup in all of my cars because then you run everything through RCA's to the X-over, then out to seperate amps. It gives you more control over the sound quality. It's basic, but I stayed under my budget of about $300 by getting used equipment (but tested). The only thing I baught new was the Jenson.

As far as those 4" speaks that you have, you may want to look at getting something different if you are thinking of running a sub unless the pioneers you have are real nice ones. Trying to get a 4" speaker that is pointed down to really keep up with a sub is pretty hard. Look at getting something that has real good highs. 4" speakers are no good for bass to begin with so don't even try to find a 4" with good bass response, that's what the sub is for. All of that is assuming that you are not cutting the doors. If you are going to cut into the doors, look at getting a 6 1/2" with a directional tweeter. The difference between a 5 1/4" and a 6 1/2" in price is small, but the difference in sound is noticeable. Having a directional tweet will help a lot with the imaging. The reason for this is that treble is a directional sound meaning you can tell where it is coming from. Bass is not directional, you can hear it, but can't really tell where from all of the time. Definitely you will not want the sub behind the drivers seat for the reasons mentioned above.
