APR head stud help 3.0 3vze

i called ARP for a price on head studs for a 3vze but they said they didnt have a kit. he said if i could give him the pitch, size, length, and diameter that he could cross reference them or make some up. does anyone have any helpful info on these studs. i would prefer ARP studs instead of bolts. thanks for any help.

go buy ONE bolt and sent it to ARP?

Call LC Engineering and see what they have?

Be aware that ARP head studsa re 3x-4x the cost of head bolts.

ALso on the 22RE - studs make it harder to R&R hte head hwen its in the engine bay (AFAIRC).
May be less of an issue on the V6

Anybody have these installed? Why don't they list them in the catalog? (I just checked again...)

Is it because they are 7/16x20 on the nut side? I'd prefer they were metric too, but they could atleast list them!

Well I ordered them and received them. Hardcore. Expensive, but hardcore.

These babies and the Rock gaskets from engnbldr should hold that head down under 7PSI of forced induction.

Quick question. Since the thread pitch is standard and not metric, wouldn't that be a problem since toyotas are metric? Sorry for reviving the post but I myself NEED the arp bolts/studs for my heads. Thanks

11x1.25 is 11mm diameter with 1.25 threads per mm. That is metric on the engine side.
SAE standard on the nut side is irrelevant if you have the proper nuts to install

make sense?

they have metric threads on one end to thread into the block and standard threads onthe other end to clamp the head under nuts.

I wish I saw this a week ago! ARP head studs were a pain to install in my 22re!

@FJoel Apologizing for resurrecting the thread, but I was wondering how the studs were holding up and if its worth the investment?

Anyone please feel free to chime in if you have any opinions.

Thanks!

Figured it would be worth a shot, trying to get some feedback on these studs versus the standard head bolts

ARP head studs are always worth the investment if youre building a hotrod. if youre building a standard motor, well, toyota over-engineers most parts. you will be fine with stock.
