4Runner wouldn't crank sometimes...

The Check Engine light is on...
The 4Runner doesn't crank for a couple of times, and then eventually does...
Driving after it starts, the vehicle runs perfectly fine...
I'll be stopping by AutoZone soon this week to see if they can read the error code...
What do you think it could be?
Thanks.

The cranking could be a starter problem. If you like working on your truck, I'd tell you to buy new starter contacts and just replace them.

The check engine light might be an unrelated issue to the starting. See what the the code is first, and let us know.

Thanks SC4Runner for the information. That's something for me to do while I'm there at AutoZone... What brand of starter contacts would you recommend? I haven't the slightest clue... Usually, wherever I go (shops) they have an option for Napa as their vendor... Thanks.

They sell them at your local toyota dealer or check toyotaworld.com and give them a call.
