Unhappy 88 4x4s electric window switch not working

1st off, the window will go up/down if i plug the 2 (one red, other green ) directly into pos/neg supplies.

but, i cannot get the switch to work (or any switch)

what i tried.
0. reading power to all wires just before switchs, and at connectors.
1. switch from drivers door (works fine, but the pass.side doesnt)
1.2, swapped switch from drivers door (still no-g0)
2. swapped pass. switch into fully functional drivers door (no-go)
3. bought a 2p2d switch - i think its the wrong type
4. tried wiring in the antenea switch (it has 5 posts)- can get it to go up or down, but not both w/the up/down feature switch.

all i need is a whole new interior, so im working on it, but for now, what type switch can i use, and how do i wire it>

also, is there a fix?>
i have power to all the wires, and the motor does work- but i have to handle the wires into a direct hot/ground feed, and reverse the polarity to get the window back up.

so before i make this a daily driver, i want all the stuff to work.
help

these wires are the direct feed ive been using. hooking them up directly into a pos/neg terminal, and reversing it to raise/lower the window.
