89-95 4wd grille pics please.

i have 92 2wd i dropped a bit. cleaning it up as a nice streetable daily. mr2 buckets, 4runner console, tint, tinted tails, and front lights, pulled bumper/mudflaps/rock guards, h4 conversions, ect.

anyways, i have a black 92 2wd grille...obviously. i have a 91 4wd bumper, that i welded into one peice (was 4), i also cut the grille bars out and shaved the lights. i plan to paint it to match and put it on.

im deciding between going with the 89-91 4wd grille and the 92-95. i want to cut out the center, and probably use alum mesh. but lets see some modded ones. dont care if its on a lifted truck. bars are common, but hell...show me whatcha got. even thought of doing some spider webs or something.

There is a picture of a guys truck in the "post your truck picture" thread (sticky) 1993 (I think) black, sas'd. Very nice truck. Take a peek in there.

Not the best pic but.....
I cut out the grille, installed polished aluminum grille, and painted everything else black metallic.

That may be my rig yer talkin' about.. if so, thanks for the compliment..

Took some expanded metal, sprayed it black, slowly cut apart grill middle piece with dremel and notched out the gussets in the back so I could tuck the metal in there. No zap straps used, free metal (from work), doesn't move or rattle and more airflow. Oh and $7ish for the tremclad.

that i like. i probably will end up doing something like that, with that grill shell. seems to take better to it than the other would. since its enclosed. but id black out the grill and use aluminum metal. cool. anybody do a 91 style bumper to match?

Yep, thats the one! I was going to do the same thing as you (try with my spare grill first) but I wanted to still have the TOYOTA lettering in it.
