E-Bay! Does anyone know if this is for real???

Looking through E-Bay, and wondering if anyone has done this or heard anything about it? Is it real? How well does it really work?

Here is is.

Read the feedback, its a resistor that he is selling:

"no picture because it's a $2 resistor shipped in 40ct envelope"

"Not a chip but a resistor...no impact on performance or fuel consumption!!!"

"NOT A CHIP, This is a resistor!!!!"

All of these quotes are in his feedback

its nothing like what they claim, my friend bought one of those performance "chips" all it was was a resistor that you could buy from radioshack for 50 cents.

i remember hearing that they make your engine run hotter too

yeah, you can't pick it up locally to keep costs down.

your buying a resistor that costs $0.99 for 12 of them.

a good rule of thumb for ebay is if you have never heard of that brand, its proabably a peice of crap, and always check what the neg feedback says. and always make sure you know exactly what they are selling. in this case its a "chip" with no pictures of what you are buying.

If it sounds "too good to be true"

Then it probably is.

Anytime you find a product like this apply this bit of logic.

Auto manufacturers spend hundreds of millions of dollars trying to gain a competive edge over their competition by increasing fuel economy and power. If something that could be sold retail for under a hundred or even a thousand dollars could give them an advantage then everyone of them would be using what ever that is.

Chips, Resistors, "hurricanes", or most any snake oil are just a waste of time and money and an avenue for some flim-flam artist into your pocket.

I bought it and it kicks ass, my gas mileage went up and the power is off the hook. I highly recommend this product to everyone.
