Yesterday I got a wild hair and replaced my spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. When i was on the last plug, I bumped the pos terminal of battery with ratchet handle. Big spark. Upon completion, the truck will not turn over. Doesn't appear to be getting spark. Anyone else ever had this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Was 109 yesterday... supposed to be 111 today. Gotta love the AZ desert.

Man, that sucks. Although, I can say I did the same thing when I was replacing my #1 spark plug. It just reset my alarm and made it go off. For me, everything started just fine.

Check all your fuses!!! Now that I think about it, I bet your problem is there.

Side note... tested ignition coil. Checked out fine. Beginning to think it could be a fuse. But where would it be? I checked the fuse under the dash on drivers side. It looked ok. I checked under the hood and couldn't find anything in the fuse box that looked bad. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for the help.

 

I would specifically check the EFI fuse. I think you would have to pull the fuses to check them. I don't think you would be able to tell what the problem is with the fuse still in the box. I'm not looking at my fuse box so I don't know what other fuses could cause this problem.

Solved the prob. When I went to remove the plugs on the drivers side, I disconnected the MAS. Oh wait... I didn't disconnect it. I broke it. Seems you do not remove the two screws to remove the plug. You remove the tiny hidden clip and pull the plug out of the socket. If you take out the screws and pull the plug... it cost you $567.16 for a new one from the dealer. Or $132.00 at the local salvage yard. Well... an expensive lesson, but a lesson well learned. Thanks to everyone that replied to my message. It was appreciated.

That is not actually a fuse but a relay.
