The right side up isnt locking the cv in place. Went wheeling last night awsome snow. Got back on to the road turned the hubs out. This morning it was icy out so i went to turn in the hubs, left side turned with ease, the right not so much. Had to get some pliers on it to turn it(not sure that was a good idea). I locked both hubs put it in 4-lo and no 4-wheel drive. So i started to trouble shoot. When locked in the right Cv isnt locked into place I can turn it . So I guess Im asking what could be the problem Could the hubs be frozen?

 

my bet is the hubs are frozen. Likely got water in there from wheelin in the snow. Warm them up, and see if it operates. You may want to take them apart and grease them up too.

 

and replace your hub gasket, star gasket and new hub dial o-rings to KEEP the water out next time.

 

and hope the spring isnt broken .
