Are all the rear axles the same from 89 to 94 or are there different sizes????

 

for the 4x4 yes. They are 8"

 

The axle from a V6 will be different then an axle from the 4cyl. Also there were a few different gear ratio's.

 

Well yes, the 4cly unit is a little weaker but has been argued still plenty strong. The Stock gear ratios in the 4x4 trucks/4runners included:

4.10
4.30
4.56
4.88

all depending on transmission,engine and tire size.

 

My gears are 4.56 I know I was wondering the size of the axle housings are the same size in 89 to 94 .cuz I need a V6 rear axle housing 94 pick up freind of mine has a 87 pickup will that housing fit 94 pick up ???

 

It should, I believe the width is the same for all 86-95 4wd pickup axles.

No difference in housings, V6 or 4cyl.
