I'm looking for some rock sliders for my 86 4runner. Does anyone know of a set that will actually stick out from the body a little more than usual? I keep a lot of gear on my roof rack & I want a set of sliders that I can stand on easily to access the items on the roof.

We got sliders that are DIY and I am sure could include some longer legs for a slight price increase.

 

Yeah go with some DIY kit sliders for customizing them to your likes. I got a good deal from Trail Gear on some, not the top of the line DOM type slider but really cheap.

Marlins come with long cu down legs and are great sliders. trail gears are the same just about same with almost all. for the price i would say marlin

 

I have 2 sets that are serving me well. One real fricken sturdy bolt on set from www.rocky-road.com that's on an 06 4Runner ($400 after shipping--already powder coated) and a very good weld on set from www.trail-gear.com ($170 to buy & ship, $160 for custom cut and weld and $20 in spray on bed liner for coating) on an 89 truck. The ones on the truck stick out more.

It's always about how much you want to spend bu I'd say get a rail that's at least .12 thick. After that, get a belly pan from www.budbuilt.com.

 

4xinovations has great pricing, and will add the kickout for free. I went with the DOM sliders, 240 shipped with full guessets and backing plates, not bad for a extra cab truck. I believe his pricing beat out trail gear on the HREW sliders, with gussets and shipping.

 

I got my Trekker's sliders...60" w/KO and thing they work great..
