Well, lookin on Ebay. I have found alot. Anyone have any experience with Japanese Engines Inc.? They sell new 22re's ....claim they are not rebuilds and no core charge. I like that since mine is locked. Short block for 1000 bucks.

I don't have any idea about the new ones. But here in Jacksonville you can get a reman long block for $1075 from a place thats been machining engines for 25 years.

I've seen the Japanese Engines ad on ebay, too. It looks like a good place to start. I woould definitely e-mail them and find out if they are truely NEW blocks and internals, and what the country of origin is for the block and parts. If it is China, run, run away. Chinese parts never work out in a Japanese vehicle. They will fuss and fight, then the Japanese vehicle will dominate the Chinese part- thus aggravating you, the American. Who must step in, as you have an interest in this part of the world. After much pain and suffering, you will drop the bomb in the form of a new, proper, Japanese part on your vehicle. Followed by many years of prosperity for you and your Japanese truck. Seriously, you would be better off with a remanufactured original Japanese engine that a Block of unknown quality that is new. After all the reman. block has proven itself.

There are a lot of great places but on something that ways a lot like an engine you get hammered on shipping...
I am lucky to live close to www.engnbldr.com and Oregon Engine Rebuilders. Both have great reputations...

Thanks alot for the responses. I guess I am gonna tear my block down and try to see why it is siezed. I think it is just from rust in the cylinders due to sitting in the guys yard for years with a blown head gasket. Here's for hoping that is all that it is anyways.
