1990 Toy - Anyone tried 35" tires with only 2"BL?

Can you run 35x12.50's on a 1990 extra cab (3.0, manual) with only a 2" BL? I currently run 31x10.50"s with no rubbing and no lift. I understand the 4" increase in tire size = 2" radius increase and thus a 2" bl should "theoretically" work. NOTHING is that easy for the Underdog. Anyone done this first hand? Just a clearance question... i have already been told about shocks, power loss, and need for new gears. Thanks for any info.

if they were 35x10.50 i would imagine you could. i run 33x10.50 stock. so "theoretically" it should work...

what size rim? i run a 35x12.50x15 on a 15x10 inch rim and its big (for a toyota) !. i have a 4" susp and 3" body and it fits. with only a 2" body lift you are going to have to break out the sawzall and a big hammer to make them fit!! if you don't mind cutting and bashing your truck sure they will fit..... I ran 33x12.50's on just a 3" body lift and with minimal bashing inside the fenderwell and removal of the front valance they fit nicely with no rubbing but 35's are WAY bigger. this was with 15x10 rims.

Search on here for "Toyofast" - he used to run 35x10.50 with NO lift. He said they didn't rub bad - looked like they rubbed to me.

I have run 34x9.50 TSL's (measure same diameter as 35" MTR) with no lift, but there was some rubbing. I think most of that was due to the rims - 15x8 AR767 with 4" backspacing. I think they would have been OK on the stock rims (or same backspacing)

make sure you dont do that if you get the big muddin tires.

i have 31's with no lift, but i have like 2-3 inches to spare, especially since i took off my runningboards
