Few general ? about an 84 2WD

A few months ago I bought a 1984 2wd long bed. Seems like a solid little truck except for the rust (Hawaii).
Anyway the truck has a 22R out of a 4wd, a weber carb(32/36 ?), and headers. Also as a funny side note has Super swampers (28x8.5)on it.
First question is anyone know what gearing this truck might have?
Then any idea what kind of horsepower this would have? Even with the heavier tires the truck is fairly fast and pulls hills easily. Thanks for any info.

If the truck has a 4 speed, the gears are most likely 3.07. If it has a 5 speed, they are probably 3.58. Those are the most common rear end gears for those particular transmissions.

You can look up the tranny and gearing info on the model info/VIN plate:

I read somewhere that the horsepower out of a stock 22R is roughly 96HP.

Granted, you have header and a Weber carb.... but at the same time the motor is aged with possibly worn piston rings. So... it could be better, or worse, than 96.
