Arrow bobbed 88 x-cab

Ok... I was thinking of bobbing the bed on my x-cab and was going to have a bodyman friend of mine at work do it, until last night. I was looking at some post you guys had put up about flat bedding it and saw some ideas I really liked. So, my question is, if i were to bob my bed, all nice and clean lookin, would anybody be interested in buying it. My plan (I think?) is to finish it and prime the whole bed, and then try to sell it so I can dump that money into a flat bed. You could buy it primed or I could paint it to match at work. What do you think it would be worth and is anybody interested?

So it's currently not bobbed? If so, I would leave it like that if you intend to sell it. Your market is much larger that way - probably an easier, quicker sale. Maybe prep it and prime it, but leave it whole. Just my 2 cents though.

good idea

I did think of that too, but thought there are alot of guys who try it and they don't turn out so good. A couple of my buddies for instance.

I'm personally going to shorten my new one right up as soon as i get it, but thats just what i want to do. If theres a lot of other custom stuff done it will only make the truck better but most people would prefer a good condition regular sized bed, its more practical and it looks cleaner, especially on some trucks that are more stock. Plus i dont know how many people would buy a bobbed bed since its fairly easy to do, and most people already have a bed to work with if they're planning on it.
