2000 Tacoma 4.7l V8 swap

is it possible? is it easy? what do i need besides the engine? do i need a new transmission? would it be better to buy a trd supercharger?

possible, yes
besides the engine, at least a harness and ecu
tranny, possible, do a search, cebby did one a while back
better to get a s/c, it would be easier and probably cheaper, but depends on what you really want.

Depends on how much work you want to put into it. MUCH cheaper and a whole lot less work to get a supercharger, not to mention parts availablility.

A buddy of mine saw one pull into a gas station a few years ago that had a 4.7L. I wish i could of been there.

Just curious as to why you need a V8? Just for power/fun, or towing? Personally, I'd rather put a 4.0L V6 in there instead. Or Supercharge the 3.4L.

I dont have any helping input.....But a supercharged 4.7 V8 in a Third Gen (or Taco)....That would be cool ............Dreaming
It wouldn't be so sweet on the pocket book though! If you have the cash go for it we (or at least I) would like to see that!
