Best place to buy a CAT???

I have a CA model, measures about 17 1/2", flanged ends, 2" pipe i'm assuming?
Is 230k mi a lot for the stocker?? I can't seem to get power out of my tuned up rig.

Yeah mine was hard to see light through it after only 115,000 miles. Recycle it for about $140 in cash and buy a new one. Not sure what you Ca guys need to pass though.

I got a thunderbolt high flow stainless for $46 shipping included on Ebay. gotta cut and clamp or weld though. go ahead a put on a high flow muffler while you are at it!! VROOOOM!!

I've got a high flow cat also. You should ask the guys in your state before you go out and purchase.

There are tons of high flow and inexpensive cats out there, but they may not be as effective as the OEM. Mine has 2.5" in/out and is rather small. I barely passed the sniffer, 219 ppm hydrocarbons on a 220 limit.

Actually I failed the first time and then leaned the truck out.

As CA is a lot more quirky than Texas about emissions, I'd ask what will work well and get you past inspection. My concern would be that you buy a high flow cat that won't pass visual and potentially won't pass smog...

Check Summit Racing. They have a direct bolt on Magnaflow that isn't a bad price.
