2nd Gen 4runner with cruiser coils and 1" bl pics???

Last week I got a new set of 33x12.50 FS Destination MTs for my 4runner. Got them on and all is well.... until I turn the wheel. Right now my setup is BJ spacers up front, cranked t-bars and cruiser coils in the rear. Rear is no problem and the front isnt too bad after pounding on the pinch weld and trimming the valence but I'm still wondering about maybe getting a 1" BL.

Does anybody have pics of a 2nd gen 4runner with cruiser coils and a 1" bl...preferably with 33s?

Thanks

There's your example of how the extra width kills ya.

What rims? Backspacing?

Pro Comp Xtreme Alloy 15x8 3.75 backspace I believe. Certainly not a killer, I can make it work, just thinking about a bl depending on what I see

I was thinking of doing the same thing to my 94. I'd say to go ahead and do the body lift, and besides with that small of a body lift, you won't have as many downfalls as you would with a 2 or 3 inch body lift.

I am running 33x12.5s on my 94 4runner with downey 1.5 HD coils in the rear and a slight tbar crank (very similar to you). I beat the pinch weld back but that wasn't quite enough so I cut about 1" off the very lower part of the rear of the wheel well. Flex it out on something in your driveway and you will see. The cut isn't noticable because its under the truck mostly. This helped alot. I get very very little rub, only during the most extreme flex offroad (and I know I just used extreme flex in conjunction with IFS). After that though I am still going to be installing a 2" body lift this weekend so I will post pictures up so you can see how it looks.

Cencal, I've been thinking about doing the same to the rear of the wheel well. Can you send me a pic when you get a chance? I'm not real big on bodylifts and I really like my stance now, think an extra inch or so and my 33s are gonna look like the 32s I had on here.

Alright, here we go...

This shows the cut:

The line shows where the cuts are, if I remember correctly, I cut about 1" off:

And from the side:

And this is kind of a wierd angle (directly under the cut, head facing the front of the truck) to show what the inner fender looks like now:

I pulled the liner and cut off the parts that were molded to fit so it would be flat and the used self tapers to secure it back to the truck.

Hope this helps.

I have LC coils at the back and 1'' BJ spacers on the front, 1.5'' body lift. The tyres are 33x12.5. I have removed part of the front bumper to reduce rubbing on full lock. The rest of the bumper was moved forward an inch.
