Neither. Send me $100 and I'll get you a cold start injector that's been cleaned, flow tested, and comes with new rubber.

Course, I'll be using an $5 injector that I've got sitting around and sending it to witchhunter.com for cleaning, balancing, flow testing and new rubber.. :-)

Have you confirmed that the cold start injector is indeed bad? They rarely ever go bad.

I don't know if it is bad or not, I just have a hunch. I have a weird idle and I tried replacing just about everything that I thouhgt could make a difference. I also have a hard time starting it when it is cold. It takes longer than usual to crank it.

The FSM has a diagnostic procedure that you might check out for testing the components. If you really think it's that injector, you can have it cleaned and tested at the above mentioned vendor for about $25.

Yeah, cold start injectors usually get dirty only although it would be possible for the pintle to be stuck open a little in an extreme situation. When I had my injectors cleaned, they guy said he could clean cold start injector for only $10 extra. My cold start injector was 32% plugged.

Ohm out the cold start injector. If it ohms out fine, just send it out for a cleaning.

Regarding your excessive cold starting issue, 99% of the time it's the cold start injector time switch that goes bad and causes that problem.
