I am needing a Hitch on my 91 4runner, I am wondering if hitches from other makes and models will work?

 

You mean can you buy a hitch from a Blazer? No. Not without a lot of fab work and welding. They are designed to fit the frame rails of a certain rig.

 

Any 2nd gen 4Runner (89-95) will fit, other years of 4Runner won't. I'm not sure about similar year trucks, I don't know if the frames are the same. As for other makes, like Rob said not without a lot of fabbing.

 

I know that my hitch on my p/u is a reese universal maybe? It used to be on a dodge van. I have seen them at walmart, maybe they have one for the runner?

 

I'd replace the rear bumper. It's more money but it's better than just a hitch.
