i am in the process of looking for a 3.4L V6 (preferably with a TRD super charger) and i need to know where can I get one from? how much will this all cost? i have the time and the tools (minus an engine hoist). what else from that vehicle will i need to purchase to complete this engine swap. All that kinda of thing, the more info the better. and of course i can use Yotatech to see how it is all done. Thanks in advance. Phyl D Mason

 

for a s/c you can find used ones like https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f107...oodies-120396/ and for a engine junk yard etc for around $1500-2500 you will need the ecu too dont be afraid of searching too

 

why not go with the diesel as stated in your description?

 

well i was going to go 3.0L Turbo Diesel, but as itturns out the engines that i can only get here have well over 500,000miles on them and the cost of one is 10,000 US!!!!!!! i dont know why, but that is the cheapist one, cause of duty and all that. And thanks for the info, i am going to try and contact a Toyota specific junk yard in Lethbridge Alberta

Cant find one from a prado or anything in belize? When I was down there last summer EVERYTHING I saw was a toyota diesel.

Weird thing is in Belize is there are Tacomas, 4runners, Hiluxes and Prados I never understood that

 

did you ever wounder where all those old buses went,like school busses, or wrecked vehicles? well they have about 100 old school buses in one lot here! Any way, the Taco's and 4Runner mostly come from the USofA and the diesel 4Runners, Hilux's and Land Cruisers come from japan. Mostly...but lately in Belize city they got some new 5.7L V8 Tundra's and new FJ Cruiser's with a diesel engine swap(i wonder where they get all the money from? )

As for finding an engine from those vehicles, the best i could find had 245, 000miles on it and the thing stopped taking miles about 6 years ago!!!!! Next time your here, if you happen on Corozal, come by for a stay at my B&B
