89 4runner SR5 5spd 3.0 with all factory options
Thanks for looking. This is probably one week too early, since I won't be able to sell the vehicle until then, but I needed to get some interest started. I can take pics and post later this afternoon, but they will be with the top off. I have the top. Its off the ground and covered, but I have not had it on the truck in a few years. She usually stays under the carport.
The good:
All options for that year: pw,pm, sunroof, pwr antenna, etc..
white with grey interior
94 SR5 seats up front(good shape, but tear on driver side bolster)
Smittybilt front grill guard
Smitty bilt style rear tube bumper(its beefier and Stout)
JVC CD player and Pold Audio speaker front and rear
31" BFG Land Terrain tires on stock Aluminum rims
Magnaflow muffler and exhaust (4 months ago)
Switched Auto hubs for Aisin manuals
Had rust cut out and fixed on fenders and rear quarter panel
last 12 months(new starter, new battery, new cables and grounds)
last 24 months(alternator and tires) tires have 12k on them
last 36 months(brakes, air flow meter, clutch)
last 48 months(shocks, steering gear box rebuild)
The bad:
One oil leak-1/2 quart per month
power steering leak -I just add some fluid if it starts making noise
passed emissions, but its running rough. I should know more about the problem this week, but I am holding off on pricing it until after I know what the problem is
179,000 miles - that's good or bad, but keep that in mind
The fixed areas around the fenders need to painted-great candidate for a snow camo paint job
I have owned her since Halloween 2001, and she was my daily driver until I bought my Tacoma in December of 2003. After that, she became my fun car and I had big plans for her. However, I recently found my old 4runner from 10 years ago for sale (on here!) and I am bringing her back to Texas, so this one has to go.
PM me or post on the thread. I will have pics by tonight.

If I left it as is, meaning its still runs rough, I would probably say $2000 obo, but I plan to mess with it over the next week and I think it just might be in need of new plugs, wires, cap, rotor. That's why I held off on price. If I can get it back to how it ran last month, I would rather sell it then. I forgot to mention that it does have the inclinometer which I found in a wrecked 4runner a few years ago and put in.
My gf has my digital camera, so here are two cell phone camera shots under the carport. I will get some more pics when she gets back.

Its raining
Yup, woke up to rain. I will get some pics when it stops. I drover down to the dog park yesterday and it was running fine on the trip down, but on the way back it was bogging down again. I will know more in a few days and I will PM you when the pics are posted.

more pics
The front of the chassis and drivetrain has a layer of oil, so its hard to see the surface rust, but if you look at the pic of the back you will get an idea of what it looks like. The leafsprings look the worst, but my I had planned on replacing the rear springs, the front suspension components(ball joints, shocks again, tie rods, bushings) and adding new torsion bars and bj spacers so it didn't really bother me. There's a close up of one of the fenders too.
UPDATE: I changed out the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and when I started it up, I could tell instantly that she was purring much better. The best I have heard in a long time. Finally, the magnaflow muffler sounds like it should! I won't know how she rides on the road until I leave work at noon tomorrow, but I will update this thread after a test drive.

UPDATE! The tune up worked. Now, I just have to see if there was something that caused it or if it was just a matter of time. I kept the old plugs and numbered them to help with any diagnostic work that might be needed later. However, she passed emissions, and she's not throwing any codes, so it might have just been time for the tune up.
I cannot believe how good she ran today coming home. For anyone interested, I have one local that is serious, but he's wants to see when it runs right. Honestly, the more I work on it, the more I want to keep it, and that might happen.
Next, I have to put the top on and see if window/wiper work like they did when I took the top off....I will post when I have that done. Thanks for the interest.

For now, I think I am going to keep her. If I sold it, I would be pissed later on, and this one is pretty much complete. My girlfriend needs a truck sometimes and her car is on its last legs, so I am justifying to myself that I need to keep it around for her. Thanks for all the response, but she'll be sticking around here for a bit longer.
