3vze help! this is rediculous...

so what's been happening has begun after i did the ISR mod.

during the day, at normal operating temp, the engine starts up fine and continues to run just as it should. 850rpm at idle.

at night however, when i start the truck it goes to about 250-300rpm and then dies if i don't rev the engine for a good two minutes before driving!?!

WTF? does my truck not like night time any more??? i seriously am stumped and through my extensive searching i have found nothing like this.....has anyone else had this problem??

please, any help is very appreciated. thank you in advance. i really don't want to have to take this to the stealer.....

....
Is it normal if you turn off the headlights? Sounds like maybe an alternator problem.

the truck has a cold weather idle bump that is vacume acutated.

so truck is cold... puter calls for idle bump = vacume leak till it warms up and closes the vacume switch = normal

i mean as in like the sun has gone down. my lights can be on or off. it just does it at night time. i know that sounds stupid, but theres no other way for me to explain it. temperature at night hasn't been that different from day lately and this only happens like after my trucks been parked and i'm leaving some where to go home and sleep.

ya sure. but it should be able to run on it's own without me having to hit the pedal.....right?

i also feel a lot of slack in the throttle cable. could this be an issue for low idle?

not if there is a vacuum leak. If there is a vacuum leak, then you don't have a properly pressurized manifold. Run your in the day, then take off the oil filler cap. It will bog down and won't run well, put the oil cap back on and it will purr like a kitten.

Vacuum leak makes sense. Follow his lead.
