Just installed my add-a-leafs. 2" yeah!

So I just got my Pro Comp add-a-leafs put in today.

FYI they're part# EXP-13120 from summit.

I took some before and after measurements:

old -- new -- diff.

front driver 36 1/8" -- 36 1/2" -- 3/8"

front pass 35 3/4" -- 35 7/8" -- 1/8"

rear driver 33 7/8" -- 35 7/8" -- 2"

rear pass 33 1/2" -- 35 3/8" -- 1 7/8"


Granted the springs have only been in less than an hour.

I'll take some new measurements in a week or so.

best $41 i've spent in a while. finally, no more saggy booty

Did you get your old springs rearched as well or just slap on the AAL? It may be a wise investment to do that cause there's a good chance it's sag in a month or two....or maybe it'll just level it out because you have the 2". That does seem like a good deal though....I paid $54cdn a piece for the ones at the local spring shop and got them rearched for a fee...so far so good.

nope, no re-arching. but i think for the price of re-arching i can find some new OEM springs. we'll see

this was a budget/cosmetic upgrade for me.

i'm just glad the truck sits level now. next step, new Bilsteins

how did you do AALs on all corners? Do you have a SAS or are you still IFS? Pics would be nice to check out your budget lift.

I'm with this guy, I've been thinking about the same thing. Still IFS? So you got the add-a-leafs on the back right? Does anyone know how much it is to get leaves re-arched?

Since the rear is lifted it has almost a front end lifting effect. Hence the small numbers.

Im hoping to get my pro-comp add-a-leafs installed soon, im tired of having a saggy ass

For me re-arching was around $100 plus AAL...so yes I could have got Downey's, but by the time they'd come across the border, I'd get nailed with tax big time on an item like that and plus shipping on top, then the install...can't do it myself at the time cause I'm recovering from back surgery so I can't work on my truck for a couple months. It leveled the back out nicely...my old springs were totally flat and it had been like that for a year. The time had come and the ride is noticeably better and as long as I get a couple years out of the re-arching+AAL fine by me. I'm not going to be doing any crazy trails just hauling guitars,banjos, PA's n'stuff. Also there are a couple ways of re-arching...cold setting them which is what I got done, 100ton press on all leafs but the main and then the other (I forget the term) where they heat the leafs individually then press...significantly more costly, may as well buy new leaf pack.

sorry, no pics. i used my cell and they didn't turn out that great. you could use your imagination and probably get the idea. i might get some good ones after the weekend. (i'm going camping/river rafting, yessssssss)

also, all i did was the AAL on the rear. nothing to the front at all.

I was kinda surprised that the front didn't go down. i thought that with the sagging rear, my front would have been sitting high.

but now with the rear up 2" sitting level, i can actually see out of my rear shell. I never noticed how bad it was until after the aal was in. so instead of seeing car tires in my rear view mirror, i can actually check out the blondes before they pass me.
