BIG PROBLUMS vibration/grinding

Hello im stumped
i go a 89 4x4 v6 pickup and its not soundin so hot. the front end squeels and vibrats on ocations. you feel the vibration in the floor. it comes and goes.Travles from right to left. when backing out with the weels cut you hear a thump like some one smacked the thing with a bat. and in the rear theres a horrid ticking and howling .howling only under load ticking/grinding all the time.im lost and thers a big trip to pa on the 19 and i wana go .ideas- busted cv, wheel berings,Ball joints, blown rear end, off balence drive shaft?!?!?! hellllppp please this sucks

ugh. that doesnt sound pleasent. im not sure what could be wrong. mine gets a nasty squeak in every time i get flex with the wheel turned hard, but other than that it doesnt make much noise.

Check the u-joints in rear driveshaft, make sure your wheel bearings are tight up front. Check your lug nuts to see if they're loose first. May need an alignment, and/or replace steering components. Could be alot of things, but that should get ya started.

u joints are good just did them. i no i need an alingment but im watin for the new meats befor i get one.. umm lugs are tight checked them. i no i got alot of play in the stering wheel. and as for the berings i will check this weekend. Butt i foun metal shavings in my diff fluid so i think thats a good indication somthings shot. dose eneyone no the stock gears for my truck??

the front driveline isnt used at all in 4x2 so its either a suspension componet, or wheel bearings, or something in the rear.

first thing i'd look at is bearings. jack up the front end and try to wiggle the wheels with one hand at 3, and one at 9. if theres a fair amount of play its time to check the bearings.

if it doesent wiggle at 3, and 9, but wiggles at 12, and 6 then its time to look at the ball joints, but i'd guess the bearings first

sounds good i give it a shot tomm. as for the rear dose eneyone no what the size of my 3d is 89 v6 3.0 4x4 stick?

rear should be the 8" gear. ratio is gunna have to be looked up on this site
