Greenwater, WA. 19th or 26th?
Looks like better weather is upon us here as May approaches.
I would like to get up to Greenwater for a 72 to 70 loop, or even up 70 to where the asphalt ends and the dirt beings at mile marker 10 and do a little exploring.
Later this summer I would like to do a lot of exploring up there in areas I have not been in ages or at all.

We usually meet at the Enumclaw Safeway a little before 9 am, and try to push off from there after we get organized.
I have not done the scenic loop run with the new rig, looking forward to getting some background shots of Rainier at the area we normally stop at.
I need to call the rangers and see if this road is all clear of snow too.
Later this summer I would like to get back up further on FS 70, as there are many places to explore/play up there, but they could still be under snow at this time.
It also is a great benefit if you have a CB radio to listen to the banter and safety wise.
We run channel four for 4x4.

Well just went up to the 70 road this morning to do a little prerun and found quite a bit of snow. The pass is supposed to open on the 24th from what some of the locals say.
But like I said there was some snow. Made it just past the second gravel pit where the road Ys and found some guys that were snowmobiling.
Hopefully we can get some warm days and melt whats left to do a good run all the way over to Naches. Sorry no pics, batteries where gone and had no backups.

Hey Garrett, the snow was rock hard. I was going down a couple of trails and there was nothing but then there was like 3 feet of just ice. It was melting alot when I was there so hopefully more is gone.
Thinking of going up there this weekend to check it out and go see Buzzy. If you want to go let me know and we'll make something happen.

I need to call the FS up too.
If there is to much snow, the loop run from 72 down to 70 would be a little dangerous.
One year we had rigs slipping towards the edge which would be deadly.

I called today, they said there is a lot of snow at the top of 72 before you head back down to the pit.
I have to call tomorrow too, she will have an update.
I am not happy with them anyways, as they will not mails or email me gun shooting rules for up there.
I must stop off at their office to get the paper.
How hard would it have been for her to scan it and email it to me, or to drop the paper in an envelope and snail mail it to me?
