Cool Installing OME dakar rear leaf springs
I will be installing rear leafsprings this weekend any one have any tips or tricks to help with install before I get started??? Hope this goes better than the torsion bars went last weekend.

Spray some penetrant on all fasteners that need to come off!!!

my new springs are several inches shorter than the old is this a problem I realize the old springs are mashed down almost flat at this point.

Measure the lenght along the arc of the spring. Stock springs are relatively flat with little static arch, should be ~47" center to center on the spring eyes. The OMEs should measure about the same as well.

make sure you have new/good bushings, and put some grease on all the hardware going thur the bushings.

Believe it or not I spent most of the weekend just getting the damn wheels off. They were the only thing I hadnt been hitting with the PB blaster.

OK, my Bolts are not a snug fit in the OME poly bushings. I removed the old metal sleeve from the rubber bushing and thats too big to fit in the poly bushing. how do I proceed.

Which end of the spring? Up front should be a 14mm bolt w/ sleeve in the bushing, perhaps OME forgot to send that sleeve. In back, should be 18mm bolts and no sleeves.
