I just got my sliders done ! they were a Bday present from some friends. Basically they took me to the shop, said pick your steel and design, Then got the master welder/fab man to get er done! (Mind you I did soem welding and grinding myself).
Sliders: 2x4 steel tube 1/4 thick...arms 2x2 1/4 thick...mounting plates..3/8s thick..Ok so I added a130 pounds to the thing but hey they will rock!

Sweet! 130 lbs.? Those things are freaking heavy, I expect to see them get used alot.

I know that each side weighed at least 60 pounds I could be wrong but they weren't light! I am hoping to try em out this weekend on the Con'

 

Probably about right on the weight, my heavy wall sliders (3/16") run about 50#/side.

 

Why didn't you run the entire length? They sure will be plenty stout. Congrats.

And they could been even heavier if you would have made them cover the dangerous areas in front of the rear wheel.
