Picked up a rolled '94 Yota Pickup 22re (10k on rebuild, runs strong as hell). Its got 31" BFG a/t on it. 5 speed bed looks to be in good shape minus normal dent near taillight. hood is creased pretty good and the top of the cab are bent back. no driver door. pass door is crap~ got 4 new RS5000's with it and glass for both doors....

500 bones

so, can we pull the 4wd stuff and put it in my 2wd runner?

It's a VERY involed swap to change out a 2wd to 4wd...I'm not certain it's even possible.

Yoy may also run into some issues between the 4 banger and the V-6, component-wise. Transmission and transfer case come to mind.

ok ok, so that idea is a bust -- lol --

maybe we need to just invest in a bender and make a toy out of it --- or ... we could part it

I definatly dont think that idea is a bust. Swap the harness and the engine/trans/transfer case. Get some manual hubs so you dont have to worry about that crap ADD system and compile the good from both. BTW it would be much easier to covert with a solid axle than try to hang 4wd IFS (blick!).

pull the runner pody off, pull the cab and bed off, mount the runer body to the truck frame???

just a thought, and easier than the drivetrain swap.

if you are going to do it, snag another transfer case and do duals, you are going to have to buy the mating adapter anyways

i'd go with the 4runner body on the truck frame, or try to find a truck body in good condition for cheap.

I say keep the transfercase, trans and rear and part out the rest. Take that money and get a solid axle. Good buy though.

EDIT

On second thought, part it out and save towards 4wd components and SA.

The way I see it you have two options. 1) Fix the body damage and sell it. 2) Find someone with a tube bender and get creative then wheel it. Just my 2 cents. Joe

Can you get a windshield to currently fit?

I'd SAS it, get rid of the bed, EXO where you need it, 4.7 gear, 35's and wheel the H E double hockey sticks out of it.

For $500 to start... seems like you have plenty to work with. Plus who cares if it flops, grinds, drags or bangs.

i think the pillars are pushed back enough so the windshield will not fit -- I like the idea of wheeling it... anyone seens shots of a chop top with a cage out the top?

I think you'd find that most states will require at least a windshield in order for the vehicle to still be street legal.

I think for the money you'd be better off with a legal rig. Trailering would get expensive unless you already have that sort of setup at your disposal.
