Mines 13 and 1/2 inchest from the top of the rim to the bottome of the fender. I am pretty sure my suspension is stock and the torsions are not cranked.

You could prolly do a deckplate mod on the 22re just as easily as on the 3.4L
22RE engines have headers that can be changed/added in very little time, and exhaust systems as well.

The two engines are just completely different, we're talking 10 years between major design changes to come up with new ideas (though the 3.4 is a v6 and the 22r is a 4cyl)

Time consuming mods dont really do much for the 22re engine, and its just such a great engine noone wants to screw with it!

Popped the hood today and I looked at the airbox and there's already a tube on the left side heading out to the front of the car..? So I took it off and it sounds nicer and runs noticably better but there's just a whole on the side of the airbox..problematic in the future anyone know? And did all 22re's come with this little tube coming out of the airbox to the front?

There IS supposed to be a tube the goes from there to the front of the core support. Its designed to give it the freshest air possible. Removing it wont hurt anything, but i really doubt you got any difference in performance. Perhaps you just think it made it better lol.

Ok so nowi know tha tube is supposed to be there but I'm almost 75% sure it has better throttle response I know 100% it does sound nicer lol but my friend used to tell me that my truck felt like it was lagging a lot and now he says it feels a lot quicker not faster sry and maybe the tube is clogged and that's y I'm not getting the same performance ill check it out..anything else u guys have done to the engine that was simple yet helped? I saw someone that had things that looked like little airfilters(2) on top of their engine(where it says toyota) what r those?thanks guys ur very helpful
