help with shock lengths and canadian offroad stores

In my 94 pickup, up front I've got 4crawler balljoint spacers, and in the rear I've got 4crawler extended shackles, for around 1.5-2" of lift total. Procomp es3000s are listed with 3 different lengths - 0-1" of lift, 2-3" of lift, and 4" of lift. I assume I should go with the 2-3" of lift, or will those be too long? Sooner rather than later I plan on installing an add-a-leaf to get the springs to stop flattening so much, so I don't want to have to buy another set of shocks at that time.

Another question: where do all you Canadians buy your parts online? Seems like 90% of the places I find won't ship to Canada, or will but only if you use an American credit card.

Anyways, thanks for the help.

Isaac

I just recieved ES 9000's in the mail from 4wheelparts. These shocks are on sale right now. I had them mailed to Calais and I crossed the border when they came in. In Fredericton there is a store called Rocky Road Offroad that can get anything you want. They have Interco tires at a fair price. Check out there website for info

There's one or two 4x4 shops around here, but I doubt they'd be able to match a price like the 4wheelparts sale. 4 ES3000s, boots, and a steering stabilizer for $140 or around there. Here's hoping 4wheelparts will mail to Canada.

try national4wd.com, they've got locations in AB, and ON i believe. soon to be BC..woohoo! no PST but you do pay shipping. you can also try NSOR.com. they're here in BC, and can have some competitive prices. also check out rancho's. they're fairly cheap and offer better ride than the pro comps i believe (pro comps are alot stiffer). i think they're also available from most well stocked auto parts stores...

Mabey try South Cariboo Offroad, their located in 100 Mile House. Never delt with them, but the guy is on 4wheeler.ca, and seems pretty cool. Plus he offers free shipping

southcariboooffroad@shaw.ca or call (250) 395-9385

Well there are many places that will ship to canada like 4x4connection and places like that, but the shipping costs and custom taxes can kill the deal. Im lucky as i live 30min from the border and get stuff shipped to the border store. Check out just normal shops, rancho and procomp are pretty easy to order in from anywhere,,even crappy tire can get those. Not to piss on the parade, but ive had the procomps 3000 and ranchos on my 92 runner and well all i can say is that they were off in 3 months. If you are looking at those just get some monroes.

Maybe the procomp weren't the best idea?

Crappy tire stocks the Ranchos for 0-1" lift, which I assume might still be a tad short, and they're $75 a pop. I'm trying to stay at around $50 a shock, althought that might be a pipe dream.

I'll call some of the local shops to see what I can come up with, and I'll check out all the websites you guys suggested. Thanks

NSOR appears to be able to get most of the trail-gear.com stuff. You may want to check out the trail-gear site and if any of the stuff appeals to you get a price from NSOR.

this is a place locally that you can order from:

http://www.osgkw.com/offroadcenter.htm

it looks like the site is under construction but the phone number works as well as the email. ask for lee (owner) and let him know where you got the link from. tell him lee sent you his way!
