Need new wheels. . . need opinions.

I am currently on the lookout for new wheels. Mine arent wide enough thus making it rub on the A-arm, and it knocks the alignment out right away. I could get wheel spacers but eventually I would like to run 315/75's so I need a 8 inch wide wheel.

I am currently looking at the Wheelers Offroad steelies or US Wheel
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I cant decide if the black steelie look goes with my truck or not though

The other option is to wait for some FJ80 wheels to go up for sale somewhere, but I kind of want to make everything black. I was going to tint the windows and paint the rear bumper black too. I got bored and did somewhat of a photochop with it.

Anyways, I am just looking for opinions. Right now I am leaning towards the US Wheel

Black would look Good on the wheels,
Especially if you end up painting the bumper black
and tint the windows.

My may not be the same color as yours but I am doing the whole Brown and Black Theme with mine.

I think it would look great on yours.

IMHO

If you go with the steelies, I think they would look good black, and they won't cost much to replace or repair if damaged. The blacked out look definately shouts 'I'm all business' about your truck, and lets others know you dont have a Pavement Princess in your stable.

I second the LC wheels, you can usually find them for about $50 a wheel on car-part.com....mine are at the powdercoater and should be done in the next couple of days, should look sweet in graphite. I've also seen them in black and they look sweet too, search for namekim99's truck, he has the lc wheels pc'd black.

I have decided to just get 1" spacers for now. Will I have any trouble with the trail gear spacers? They seem to be the best priced and from what I have heard are basically the same as Marlin's. I will probably end up rattle-canning my wheels eventually.

Any other place yall would recomend for wheel spacers?

I dunno, man... I think you're gonna have less problems with new wheels versus spacers. From everything I know about them, it's kind of a crapshoot whether or not they'll cause vibrations. Some have problems, some don't. I'd do some more reading on spacers before you commit to them if I were you... Just my 2c.

Steelies are cheap to buy and IMO look great. I went from the same rims you have, to Black Rock Krawlers, and I love my new steelies. Black will look great.

I wouldn't use the spacers. I woud just bite the bulet and go ahead and get the rims you want. Cheaper to buy what you want the first time than to buy two sets.

I have never been a fan of the wagon wheels (I believe that was the old American Racing term for that style back in the early 90s)

Black chrome would look nice!!!

Hell it is your rig, make it look like your rig and don't let bozos like myself tell you what is good or bad.

Ah but that is why I posted this thread . I have been debating over it for a long time now. I think I will just go with either WHeelers 16x8s or some other sort of black steelies. I just need to sell these Tokiko Shocks that i never used so that I can justify it.
