Let me start by saying I saw some decent snorkel ideas via search but nothing to detailed.

I have a 1987 single cab pickup with the 22R.. however I will be converting to EFI at some point, soon as finish getting all the pieces together.

I have all the EFI components except an intake and that MAF sensor/box. Wondering what my options are for the MAF sensor (btw what does this thing do?) and fabbing a snorkel?

does anyone have pictures of their engine bays showing what they did?

Or am I stuck finding a stock intake with MAF and airbox and THEN fabbing in a snorkel?

*I like what 4crawler did tho i dont want to relocate the battery.
