leaf sprung sway bar

in my never ending attempt to engineer and waste time on my truck im wanting to finish up the rear axle of my tacoma.

so ive decided to relocate my shocks in-board about half way between the diff and drums to get more travel for the future when i go to longer leafs.

my original plan was to mount another set of shocks even further inboard so that the decrease in cornering damping and body roll quickness would be made up for. i would then have 4 shocks on the rear, and cornering damping close to my current setup (after a few calculations, and a shock dyno here in a lab at school.)
|=shock
[]=tire
o=diff

now i thought about this yesterday. make a disconnecting sway bar for the rear and only have the 2 main shocks located halfway between diff and drum
[]--|--o--|--[]

i had a discussion with a rover friend and he nor i have ever seen a sway on a leaf sprung axle.

just looking for input here, and a discussion of the two ideas.

a third idea would be the 4 shocks and a sway.

I have run the Addco bar for a short while on my rear axle and will be reinstalling it (w/ quick disconnects) once my new axle is installed. It made a very nice improvement in handling on the road.

No pics, only had it on a few weeks about 3 years ago to see how it worked. Forget the exact cost, but around $150.
