How come all your last minute wheeling trips are on my "bad" weekends. I could've gone if it wasn't for something I have to do on Saturday.

i am leaving this morning, (i love having only 1 class on friday) and should return no later then sunday afternoon. i talked steve (jokeplayer) to come up with me for today, but he thinks he can only stay till sat morning or even just make it a day trip. i am going to the stonyford Area Grindstone Ranger District in the Mendocino National Forest. the plan is to come in through the Ranger Station in stonyford, explore the trails and then camp at Old Mills camp ground. Saturday exlpore more of the 4x trails and camp sat night near Letts Lake. i am bringing more then enough food, water, (beer), and survival gear. but solo wheelin and camping is still a little scary, (hince the detailed info in this post, cuz i know ya;ll dont care unless i dont show up again on sunday) i'll take lots of pics and post them when i get back. oh and just for info my license plate number is OR- VYU-770. I will be running CB channel 22 if anyone wants to join me.

The mud was AMAZING! No traction with the BFG M/T's.... sloppy, avalanche status mud.

Just too bad that I killed my alternator and had to get towed home .

Weird.... went out and started the truck and it's charging and driveable again.... must have been all the water. I still think it's time to go to a GM Alt to get the higher amperage.

Glad you got back safe Chris. Can't wait for some pics. I'm converting Harvey's RAW's to JPG's right now too.
