Temp gauge starts at halfway...

Temp gauge starts at halfway...
In my 3.0 liter v6 SR5 I recently had installed:
Timing belt
#2 idler pulley
oils seals on bath cam shafts
water pump
Now at cold startup the temp gauge starts at halfway.
What the heck could be causing this?
I'm a little concerned.
