I am lookin for the best place to order Warn Premium Hubs from (manual locking). I have a 1988 4Runner with Auto Hubs so I will need the Spindle Kit also. Can someone steer me in the right direction?

I would shy away from the warn hubs....stick with the aisin hubs. You should be able to get a set for around $50.

 

not 4wheelonline i ordered some for my taco, and they sent me the wrong set twice, and first refused to give me a refund, and then charged a restocking fee.

 

i wanted the aisins but i figured with a lifetime warranty on the warns how could i go wrong?

 

the aisin's hardly EVER break, and when something does break they are super super easy to pull apart and fix!! plus they are just as strong as the warn premium's and dont stick out as far

 

FWIW, if you do get the warn premiums they havent broken on anyones rig I know if..the cheaper ones have.

 

Warn's here, no regrets aside from the crappy paint on the dials which starts peeling after a month

 

sounds like i could order the warns and then order the wheel bearing nut kit from wabbit for the best price.

 

or you could go to the junk yard, get a set of aisins for $50, buy the $5 in gaskets from the dealer, get the spindle nuts from wabfab and be done for less than $70

 

Don't forget the 54mm socket...you need that too.

 

or 2 1/8" if you can't find the 54mm

 

i saw the warns fail@RC, it was on a heep, but they still failed.

you should be able to find the aisins@a junk yard

 

The Aisin hubs are cheap, strong, easy to find, easy to rebuild, and easy to replace.

If you are really worried about one breaking, buy and rebuild three. Install two and keep the extra in your toolbox. You'll likely never need it. I haven't heard of a properly maintained Aisin hub breaking.

Take the $175.00 you'll save by NOT buying Warn's and spend it on something that you really need. You have an '88 4runner. If you put high dollar brand new parts in it, you will NEVER come close to getting your money back when you sell it.

 

If you don't mind buying a set of used Asin hubs let me know all I have to do is take them off the truck...$50 plus shipping..
