Broken Bucket Seat?

I have swapped in buckets which I believe are from an extended cab. The driver seat has an issue where it falls back under hard acceleration or pushing. It doesent fall back when sitting in it normally, and it wont go foreward without being released.

does anyone know what the issue might be? is it something i can fix?

No broken "teeth" or cables underneath?

Is it bolted down firmly to the floor? All bolts rock solid tight on all 4 corners?

im having a hard time seeing underneath so i may pull it, but it is bolted down firmly to the floor.

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before, and what specifically to look for underneath.

I had the same problem with my old Honda. Rather than messing around with spending $15 on parts to fix it, I replaced them for $15 with Civic Si seats from a local pull-n-save junk yard.

is it the seat back that is reclining or the sliders that won't stay forward? i had the latter problem on my sonoma and the dealer had to replace the whole slider unit under warranty after attempting to fix it a few times. sliders are probably cheap if you can find a junk set and easy to change as long as your seat bolts aren't rusted to the floor. not sure how to fix the recline mechanism if it's that

I removed the seat, and I cant see what is wrong. It seems like the gear teeth which lock it in place are slipping.

Not sure if its a toyota seat or not? maybe someone knows? The buckle says saturn on it.
