3vze hesitation issue

Welp, here's my best explanation:

I'm getting this weird hesitation. It's gotten worse as of late, on acceleration. Occasionally I'll hear like a 'clunk' type sound, just a single clunk w/ hesitation, and then it'll contine on (while accelerating). I'm going to check all the plug wires again tomorrow, but I'm getting worried that it might be something more serious. I can't feel any weird vibrations, and there are otherwise no abnormal sounds......but of course the motor is incredibly sluggish!

Thanks guys

I'm going say the thump your hearing is a backfire from within the intake. You could need a tune up & pos look for vacume leaks, also look to see if your air filter could be clogged. hope this helps.i'm sure there is someone else that may have had same prob & can direct you in the right direction.

Yeah, sounds like it's running rich. Have you noticed any change in your mileage, too? Any crud at the tailpipe? How does it idle?

idle is much better since i've changed the plug wires, kinda steady at 700rpm. The air filter is a brand new K&N. So i'm thinking it's essentially the spark plugs and I need to go along and replace the rest and make sure the wire boots are fully on the plugs for full force.

I might try an MSD coil or something along those lines for a little more fire if the spark is weak....or increasing the base timing a degree or two.

Okay, good luck. Post up if it doesn't do the trick.

I can't get my fat hands around 2 of the plug boots to push 'em on fully
