That just about says it. I'd really like to replace the one that doesn't lock for something that does. You'd think there would be a latch out there that fits that circular spot. Anybody done this yet?

I keep my inverter in there, and would like a place to secure other valuables with the top off.

The original owner of my 4runner installed this locking console. It has one small door and one large door, and it has cup holders on the front and rear. It can hold alot more than the glove box.

where can you buy those? Just buy one of those locks that turns the peice when you turn the key, and put it in the top corner.

You think they would have a latch to fit that in there?

I like the Idea of the center console, but I'd rather it be the glove box if possible.

remove stupid lock thing already there and replace with this. or add this longside it. you wont be able to open it with this thing if you set the lock part into some metal..
