Greenwater, WA. Snow Run 12-30-2006

What a blast, felt great to get out of my place.
Been kooked up here since 12-20 that evening when I got off work.
Been on vacation from Boeing for the holidays.

I do not have my webpage up yet, that takes hours to code, but I do have Jim's pictures, and will put the folder here.
Pay no attention to the thumbnails in there, just clikc the regualr ones.

This is who came:
Corey 2007 FJ Cruiser
Jim 1984 truck
Wiebs6 1993 truck
Gabriul 2001 Tacoma

After we got up to Greenwater and played in the gravel pit for a bit, we heard some other Toyota owners on the CB.
Shane had a full size truck towing his SAS'd 1986 Toyota truck.
The other member I can not remember his username, but his first name was Chris.
He had a blue SAS'd 2nd gen 4Runner.

Jim and I left to go play on some easier stuff while the rest all aired down and left to go find some really deep snow.

Jim and I are both on the semi sick list, so we had not planned on staying up there for more than a few hours.

The rigs did great in the snow, and the FJ Cruiser really impressed me in the snow.
I did not slide around one bit in it unless I goosed it and really tried to slide.

Could not have asked for better weather up there either.
The sun was out and very bright, and lots of fresh snow form earlier in the week.

Here is the folder, I have 42 of Jim's pictures in there for now.
Will add mine later, the camera is charging.
I will also put up a vid later too, and update this thread, and update it again after my homepage is built which will make viewing the pictures mucho easier.

12 megabyte video is done.
Might be best to right click and save it, not sure how fast it will stream in.

Might have to get a U Tube account too, vids take up a lotta space and bandwidth.

Using one of my Comcast accounts for it...

All 18 of my pics are in the above folder now.
Jim's Sony kicks my Sony's ass.

His camera takes waaaaaaaay better pics, and are bright.
I had to lighten up several of mine.
Was going to have Santa bring me a new Sony for Christmas, but I got other things instead.

Will shoot for spring or before for a new digicam.

Webpage for all of this hopefully coming tomorrow.

Thanks!
I really dig the ARB, and feel it is one of the best aftermarket bumpers.

The weather was so cool (no pun intended, wall maybe ) up there too.
If it had not been so cold and white up there, you would have thought it was summer as bright as the sun was out today.

Well, I slaved more over the computer before and after dinner, and finished up the webpage.

Here is is, much easier to navigate than the folder at the top of this thread.

Awesome Garrett.
Where was that last vid you linked here where they jumped the hill?
Does not look like the pit area.

I will add your album link to my page later.

To the right side?
If so, I have been back in there before.
There is a nice little hill climb in there, and beyond that a nice big open area.

Lots of good camping spots all along the left side of that road too right on the river.

We had a Summer Jam up there many years ago, before the forum was born.
We camped along the river in there.

Thanks for the pics and vids, very scenic and inspiring. LOL at the Molly stunts. I can't wait to do a snow run with the TLCA guys sometime soon.

Was doing a little Googling for the Naches Trail I went on several years ago with the 4Runner.

Came upon this.
http://www.nwjeepn.com/naches1.htm

We were not but about 4 or 5 miles from the opening to the trail, but of course it is closed right now.

I sure would like to ride with someone next season on it though...
It looks good in the snow too, on the 2nd page of the link above.
