So what the hell? How am i supposed to get the bumper correctly mounted back on the truck? What do i do with the bumper core. I went over the instructions on the 4crawler site many times and have done everything as said. Do i remove the bumper core completly? Is there some way to raise it. Errrrr. TIA.

Not sure what you mean. Most of us who have done BL's are running aftermarket bumpers like TJM or ARBs so this was not a problem.

I thought that you just took of the bumper installed the plates that come with the kit and put the bumper back on.

BUMP for some info for this guy.

the 99+ bumpers have a different mount than the pre 99 ones. not sure if the 4crawler kit comes with bumper riser brackets for the 99+ bumpers, but they came with the pre 99 ones. im guessing youre talking about the rebar beneath the lower valence? pre 99's never came with those..so i'd toss em. but thats just me

Well thanks guys. Got it figured out a little while ago. Had to drill a couple extra holes. Kept the rebar on. Rebar hangs a little low but is still covered behind the bumper. Ended up not using the bumper bracket that was included, so if anyone needs it let me know. When all was said and done, it took a total of 3 hours to get it all done and that includes the hour of screwing around with the front bumper. Not bad for being the first time doing a body lift. Thanks again.

Unused bracket can be returned for a refund as noted:
