1991 2Dr SR5 4x4 5spd

I own a 1991 2dr Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4 and i've been hearing from people and finding on the net that this is an extremly rare vehicle, this year being a two door. does anybody agree with this or know just how rare they are?

I heard that because of tax reasons the two-doors ended up being more expensive in the US than the 4 doors.. so they really never took off and toyota discontinued them..here is a quote from offroad.com's history of the 4runner.

"In 1992, flush "aero" headlights were introduced. Many feel that this change made the new body style finally look like it was supposed to. Replacement bulbs are more expensive, though. The two-door model, due to hefty tarriffs and sluggish sales because of tarriffs, was not imported to the US after this year. In the 1992 model year, four-door 4Runners cost thousands of dollars less than two-doors. Predictably, the market plummetted."

Very rare. Wouldn't let go of it if I were you and would not consider wheeling it. DD it and keep it stock - Could possibly be worth a good bit if you keep it in good shape

so it sounds to me like it is in fact very rare. it is in awesome condition, only one dent in the rear bumper, and it came from cali so there is absolutly no rust anywhere, the original black coating on the frame is still there in every area. i'll try to put up some more pictures.

Here are a few pics of mine, and yes it's a 5 speed. Far from the condition of the roadrunners.

mine is a bit beat and will continue to be wheeled to it's grave

Where are you located and how much do you want? One of my favorite vehicles...

There is lots of them up here in the great white north. See at least one everyday. You have a nice one there, treat it right and it'll be a good ride.
